christineohhh: What are the differences between socialism & communism?
Generally speaking, socialism is an economic system and communism is a political system. Communism in practice has been a very conservative, oppressive system (see: USSR, China, North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, etc), while socialist ideals are actually very liberal in nature (all workers are considered equal, the government provides most social services like healthcare, etc).
